Property Solicitor

Background
TC Young are looking to recruit an experienced solicitor for our Edinburgh office, dealing primarily with domestic transactions, although some work on wills & power of attorneys will be required. Due to the volume of work within the department there will be a requirement to manage a large and varied caseload within a very busy department.

This role is ideally full-time but consideration may be given to exceptional candidates who are interested in working part time, with a minimum of 28 hours per week being worked.

What we are looking for … the successful candidate will have the following:
• Up to 5 years property experience
• Be capable of ‘hitting the ground running’
• Be able to work under pressure
• An ability to be adaptable and to prioritise and manage their case load effectively
• Be able to meet client deadlines
• Experience of wills & power of attorney work would be advantageous, but training will be provided if necessary.

Reliable with excellent attention to detail, you will be working in a team where there will be extensive client contact. Strong communication skills are essential, with the ability to quickly understand a client’s requirements and tailor advice accordingly. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious solicitor keen to progress.
