Examination in chief is frequently the poor relation in advocacy skills teaching. But the ability to control the witness, to guide without leading, and to elicit favourable testimony is one of the most important of all advocacy techniques.
Ronnie Conway and Bridget McCann are the authors of "The Civil Advocacy Skills Book" 2015.
