Sheriff Matheson will cover the application for a CPO with reference to the case of Application for a CPO 2015 SLT (Sh Ct) 9; the time frames and any changes in terms of the Children’s Hearings (S) Act 2011. The talk will cover matters from a practical (as well as legal) perspective.
Sheriff Sara Matheson qualified as a solicitor in 1992, worked latterly mainly in the field of child and family law founding MTM Family Law in 2012. She appeared in many children’s referral cases, including several reported cases. She was accredited as a specialist in child law in 2005 and in family law in 2008 and was appointed a summary sheriff in 2016.
