Seminar Details:

Good governance has become increasingly important in charities and social enterprises, particularly in light of recent media coverage. This session will provide an overview of the following:
- duties of governing body members under company and charity law;
- common themes and overriding responsibilities in relation to these duties;
- declaring and managing conflicts of interest; and
- general governance requirements and core skills.

Kelly Sleight provides advice and assistance to Harper Macleod's public sector clients, particularly in relation to charity law, corporate structures, governance, compliance and regulatory issues. She regularly advises on charitable and social enterprise structures, including governance arrangements and assist organisations in applying for charitable status.
