Seminar Details:

This seminar will focus on the necessity of ensuring that the 1985 Act section 9 principles are kept to the fore when seeking an order for division of matrimonial property, in drafting a separation agreement and what can go wrong if you don’t. It will also include a couple of case studies and will bring in some recently decided cases.


Sheriff Mhairi MacTaggart has been a Summary Sheriff at Ayr since April 2016. Prior to that she was a part-time Sheriff from 2005 until 2016 and had her own family law practice in Glasgow and Lanarkshire from 1995.
