Civil Court Solicitor

Miller Samuel Hill Brown

An opportunity has arisen to join our busy civil court department.

The role involves a varied and interesting workload acting for both pursuer and defender in the Sheriff Court, Court of Session, Land Tribunal and Tier 1 Tribunals.

The work includes:
• Property disputes (residential and commercial)
• Leasing and Dilapidation disputes
• Contract disputes
• Debt recovery
• Licensing appeals
• Breach of contract/covenants
• Professional negligence claims

You will have responsibility for your own files and clients, as well as assisting and providing support to the team Partner.

Ideally, you will have good advocacy experience and skill in drafting court pleadings and documents. The position requires a motivated, organised person who can work both independently and as part of a team. Excellent written and communication skills with a strong attention to detail are essential.

Ideally, the role would suit someone with 2-4 PQE, but we can be flexible for the right candidate.

Salary (with benefits) commensurate with experience.
