Private Client Paralegal

TC Young

TC Young are looking to recruit a Glasgow based Private Client Paralegal, who will work within our expanding Private Client department (primarily office based).

This is a new role which will involve working as part of a friendly team, with a wide variety of core Private Client work, including: Executry administration, Will and Power of Attorney drafting and Guardianship administration. This role is ideally full-time but consideration may be given to exceptional candidates who are interested in working part time (minimum 21 hours per week).

What we are looking for … the successful candidate will ideally be a registered paralegal and have at least 2 years’ relevant experience.

The successful candidate must:
• Have the ability to manage a growing case load effectively (with minimal supervision)
• Be able to work under pressure and prioritise work to meet deadlines
• Be reliable
• Have good verbal communication skills, due to extensive client contact
• Have excellent numeracy skills
• Be able to work well in a team
• Be highly presentable and professional at all times
• Possess excellent IT skills
• Be flexible, in response to changing methods of working

The following would be advantageous:
• Knowledge of executry and guardianship administration, but full training will be given if required

Duties to include:
Dealing with all aspects of core Private Client administration, including:
• Preparing confirmation and IHT forms
• Preparing executry accounts
• General financial guardianship and executry administration
• Providing support to other members of the Private Client team
