Private Client Solicitor - 3 - 7 years PQE

TC Young is currently looking to recruit an experienced residential conveyancing solicitor for a vacancy in their Glasgow office. The role is within the firm’s Private Client department and would involve working alongside a growing team who specialise in this area. The successful candidate must be able to manage a varied caseload within a very busy department.

This role is ideally full-time but consideration may be given to exceptional candidates who are interested in working part time, with a minimum of 25 hours per week being worked.

What we are looking for … the successful candidate will have the following:
• Up to 3-7 years PQE
• A desire to focus exclusively on quality conveyancing transactions
• A good knowledge of the property market, particularly in Glasgow
• An ability to be adaptable and to prioritise and manage a large case load effectively (with minimal supervision)

The successful candidate must:
• Be capable of ‘hitting the ground running’
• Be able to work under pressure
• Have at least 3 years residential conveyancing experience
• Be enthusiastic with a desire to get actively involved in the firm’s marketing /business development
• Be capable of providing supervision for paralegals within the department, as required

Reliable with high attention to detail, this role will involve extensive client contact. Strong communication skills are therefore essential, with the ability to quickly understand a client’s requirements and tailor advice accordingly.

A working knowledge of LawWare software would also be advantageous, but not essential as full training will be provided. Familiarity with online digital platforms essential –LMS, Revenue Scotland etc
