Royal Faculty of Procurators in Glasgow

AGM 3 June 2021

At the Royal Faculty's AGM on 3 June Donald Reid demitted office as Dean.

Austin Lafferty was duly elected as Dean - saying that he was honoured to accept the honour and was very grateful to the Council and membership of the RFPG. He paid tribute to his friend, colleague and mentor Donald Reid who had carried out the role of Dean brilliantly, especially in terms of promoting the Faculty and the legal profession, particularly in such challenging circumstances. He finished by saying that he felt very much at home within the Royal Faculty which is a very collegiate organisation which is something which a professional body and a local organisation should aspire to be and something which he hoped to foster and promote during his term in office.

Stephen Vallance was elected as Vice-Dean and Ahsan Mustafa and Paul Neilly were also welcomed as new Council members.
