Glasgow Sheriff Court

In an effort to properly utlise the space available Glasgow Sheriff Court has issued a “revised” base programme, which will come in to effect from Monday 19 April 2021 (that is, after the Easter school holiday – in which a reduced programme operates).

A copy of this revised programme is available here (the week commencing 19 April is “Week 2”).

Larger courts will continue to be utilised when these become available, therefore, the actual court in use for particular types of business should always be checked – no assumptions should be made based upon the programme.

JP Court business is scheduled to recommence with effect from Monday 7th June 2021. The Youth Court will not start before June 2021 (there is a meeting with social work on 12 April to confirm arrangements - which will be confirmed as soon as possible).

A revised programme for September onwards is in preparation which will also be shared as soon as possible.

The re-fixing orders (links below) give effect to the SCTS announcement to set out arrangements for the disposal of proceedings in the Sheriff Courts during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic detailing disposal of proceedings for the period 6th to 9th April 2021 in respect of Summary Sheriff and Justice of the Peace Court business.

Coronavirus - Order Refixing (no. 14 of 2021) Summary Sheriff Court Cases (6-9 Apr. 2021)

Coronavirus - Order Refixing Diets (no. 15 of 2021) JP Court Cases (6-9 Apr. 2021)
