Court - easing of restrictions and Refixing Orders

 

 

 

  • For a number of reasons, the alcohol and drug courts in Glasgow will, in effect, recommence as from Monday 22 March (time slots will be allocated).

    The position in Glasgow prior to the January lockdown was different from that which operated elsewhere.

    Due to the number of summary trials courts we operate on a daily basis, we did not restrict loadings to the 3 + 2 model outlined in the SCTS release. The precise model we will operate in Glasgow with effect from 19 April is a matter that we will discuss over the next week or so – a significant improvement in the uptake of pre-intermediate meetings will go a considerable way to making the management of the significant backlogs we have more manageable. Everyone’s continued co-operation in this regard is greatly appreciated.
