Security passes at Glasgow Sheriff Court

Due to recent review of security across Scottish Courts John McGraw (the Estates Manager, Glasgow Sheriff Court) has asked that the following message be highlighted -

from Tuesday 18th July 2017 all regular court users are required to wear visible photo/ID passes at all times within the court building.

Extract from the SCTS security policy:-
“The ability to check those with a legitimate need to be on court premises is an essential element of our security. All SCTS employees, Crown Office employees, Social Work Dept, Witness Services, Solicitors, G4S Staff, Servest Security, Baxterstorey staff, and all other regular visitors to court must have ID cards which are to be worn at all times whilst on the court premises. The ID card must display a photograph, employee name, and a unique issue number to facilitate security checks.
The cardholder has a duty of care to protect the card, immediately report any loss or theft, and immediately surrender the card if they cease to have a legitimate need to be on court premises.
Anyone wishing to enter the court building who does not have or cannot display an appropriate ID card will require to pass through the Security Portals before entering the court building.”
