Co-author of “Conveyancing in the Electronic Age” and “Leases” with Professor Robert Rennie and “Professor McDonald’s Conveyancing Manual”.
Donald Reid (Mitchells Roberton) -
Donald Reid, is Chairman of Mitchells Roberton. He qualified as a solicitor in 1975. He has practised extensively, though not exclusively, in the field of conveyancing and property law, both residential and commercial. He tutored and lectured for 20 years at the University of Glasgow. He is frequently called upon to give opinions on the conveyancing aspects of disputes and litigations and to give expert evidence. He serves on the Property Law Committee of the Law Society of Scotland.
Frances Rooney (Lexares) –
Frances Rooney is the founding member of Lexares LLP (www.lexares.co.uk), a specialist law firm providing title and land registration assistance, and internal CPD and support services for property lawyers. Frances is well known as one of Scotland’s leading experts on land registration, and for many years has worked closely with Registers of Scotland (RoS), the Law Society of Scotland (LSS), academics and other key stakeholders in shaping law and practice following the overhaul of land and property law under the Land Registration etc (Scotland) Act 2012.
Paul Gilhooley, Head of LBTT Compliance, Revenue Scotland
Paul Gilhooley is the Head of Land and Buildings Transaction Tax (LBTT) Compliance at Revenue Scotland. Paul joined Revenue Scotland in March 2019 and is part of the team of tax professionals and tax administration staff supporting the operational delivery of the tax authority’s devolved tax functions. Paul has spent most of his career working in personal taxation or debt management through a number of roles at HMRC.
