Advice to someone starting their traineeship
Scope out opportunities to diversify your experiences, both inside and outside of your firm. Find ways of becoming involved with the wider profession through seminars, networking and social events. Ensuring that you are always looking for new opportunities will prompt you to expand your comfort zone, and in my (albeit, brief!) experience makes you a more insightful, adaptable and fulfilled individual.

When not at work
I enjoy spending time with friends and family, particularly when accompanied with good grub and nice wine. On the rare occasion that I am not indulging my appetite, I am keen hillwalker and live music gig frequenter.

Random Fact
I recently swam with a shark whilst on holiday in Dubai – it was admittedly only 2 foot in length, and in a controlled environment, but a somewhat 'extreme' experience nonetheless!
