Do you want to learn or practise trial advocacy skills and not just hear about them? Are you prepared to work hard to put these skills into practice?
The Royal Faculty of Procurators in Glasgow in association with Prof. Peter Lyons of CPD Training (UK) is running three 2-hour online advocacy coaching courses in September and October 2022 for those who are interested in case analysis, examination-in-chief, cross-examination and closing submissions.
This is not about procedure; it is about skill. You will receive regular, personal but corrective feedback about your performances and your confidence will grow.
Depending on demand we can schedule the course out of office hours. All you need is a computer with good wifi and time to prepare.
The training attracts 12 CPD hours. The price is £350 for RFPG members (£525 for non-members) which includes instructional videos and materials. Places are limited.
“I feel I learned a lot and it’s one thing you never get as a lawyer. Once you start going to court you are never peer-reviewed again. Judges don’t give feedback; colleagues in court don’t do so either, your colleagues in the office aren’t there, there is no feedback from any source… I found your advice very beneficial.” Feedback from practitioner on the March course.
