About The Event:

This seminar will briefly review the recommendations of the Scott Review as they relate to AWI, and the developments since then. It will then consider some of the practical challenges faced by AWI practitioners and ways these can be addressed while we await the reform process (e.g. dealing with deprivations of liberty), in the context of the present regime’s compliance with Article 5 ECHR.

About The Speaker, Dr Dianne Millen:

Dr Dianne Millen is Head of Family Law at Watermans in Edinburgh and has specialised in family and incapacity law since 2011.
