Craig Donnelly is a Director at Holmes Mackillop Solicitors and Vice Dean of the Royal Faculty of Procurators in Glasgow. He is an experienced litigation solicitor with a practice focused on commercial litigation, insolvency, and property litigation (both commercial and residential), regularly appearing in sheriff courts across Scotland and before the Scottish Tribunals. Craig advises a wide range of clients, from individuals and SMEs to corporate entities and insolvency practitioners, and is known for providing clear, pragmatic, and commercially focused advice. He qualified as a solicitor via the Law Society of Scotland’s alternative examination route, completing a pre Diploma training contract while working in practice, and has a strong interest in legal education and widening access to the profession. Craig is a member of the Scottish Association of Landlords and the Property Litigation Association and an associate member of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals (R3). He has served on Faculty’s Council since 2023 and is particularly interested in the Faculty’s role in professional development and training.
