Library Services

The Royal Faculty is committed to maintaining a first class library which is of relevance to all its members. Staff at the RFPG library are ready to help members in any way they can. As trained information professionals, experienced in accessing information from a wide variety of sources, and by utilising access to a wide range of electronic sources and the unique collection of texts and resources, we are well placed to assist members.

Library Catalogue

The full range of resources held by the library can be searched here from your own office.

At a time when budgets have been constrained, and the cost of purchasing legal resources continues to rise, it makes increasing sense for firms (both large and small) to rely on the collective resources available from the Royal Faculty library. We aim to make the library as responsive to the information needs of our members and would welsome any recommendations of resources for purchase by the library.

You will also find a copy of the library mandate.

Subscriptions to Online Resouces

As well as retaining our current subscriptions and continuing with our book purchasing policy the library has ensured that it has electronic subscriptions to a range of online legal databases (including Westlaw and LexisNexis) to complement the physical stock held by the library.

Quiet Study

The main library is conveniently located in the heart of the city and provides an ideal space for quiet study, away from the pressures of the office, surrounded by a wealth of legal resources. The library also has WiFi internet access and laptops available for members’ use and providing access to our electronic resources.

Induction Service

An induction session can be arranged to outline what is available from the library and in what ways the library can assist you in your information needs. This may be of especial use if your firm has new trainees starting and you would like to enable them to get the most out of the resources on offer in the library.
