​Beatrice Nicholas is a Solicitor based in Glasgow for over 30 years. 

She is recognised for her commitment to supporting individuals and communities in need, both through her legal work and her longstanding involvement in charitable fundraising.
Her principal areas of practice include Criminal Law, Business and Company Law, and EU Law, with a particular focus on the rights, status, and settlement of EU citizens in the United Kingdom. Beatrice completed the Fast Track LLB and Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Strathclyde, followed by a traineeship in Paisley. She subsequently pursued a diverse legal and business career, working exclusively in the private sector as a solicitor, business owner, director, and entrepreneur.

Beatrice is known for her strong organisational skills, ability to work effectively both independently and within teams, and her capacity to thrive in fast paced, results driven environments. She is committed to continuous professional development and to evolving her practice in line with developments within the Scottish and wider UK judicial systems.

Her fluency in Greek, Italian, French, and Romanian, combined with her Iranian, Jewish, and Romanian heritage, provides her with a unique insight into cultural, social, and legal challenges faced by diverse communities. These attributes, together with her leadership and communication skills, have contributed to her being recognised as a community leader and to her collaborative work with the Romanian Embassy in London.

Beatrice is a member of the Law Society of Scotland, Glasgow Bar Association and the Faculty of Procurators in Glasgow.

She is also deeply committed to charitable work, particularly through her support of Hospices of Hope and its mission in Southeast Europe. As both a fundraiser and advocate, she has played a key role in raising awareness of the charity’s work and in establishing its presence in Scotland.

Beatrice returns as a Councillor and Board Member to the Royal Faculty of Procurators after a year break.
