The seminar will consider the genesis and content of the Contract (Formation and Remedies) (Scotland) Act 2026, which will come into force early in 2027.


About the Speaker, Hector MacQueen (University of Edinburgh):

Hector MacQueen is Emeritus Professor of Private Law at Edinburgh University and led the Scottish Law Commission Contract Project 2009-2018 which generated, not only the 2026 Act, but also the Legal Writings (Counterparts and Delivery) (Scotland) Act 2015 and the Contract (Third Party Rights) (Scotland) Act 2017.
