About The Event

The Regulation of Legal Services (Sc) Act 2025 introduces significant changes to how the Law Society will regulate the legal profession. The session will provide an overview of some of the key changes introduced by the Act, explain their implication for practice and regulation and set out next steps in relation to the implementation of the Act.

About The Speakers:


Michael Sheridan - Michael was secretary of the Scottish Law Agents Society from 2004 until 2019 and was very much involved, from the solicitors’ professions point of view, in the moves towards ABS from 2008 onwards. He organised a number of surveys and discussions, including ultimately, the abortive EGM of the Law Society of Scotland in 2010. He…
