About The Event

Three expert Advocates from Black Chambers come together to each deliver a separate, 30 minute talk full of practical advice for practitioners working in the criminal courts.


The talks will be as follows:


  • Decan O'Keefe - "But you said...!" Prior statements: when and how to use them.

  • Gillian Simpson - Oh corroboration, where art thou?! Does the doctrine of mutual corroboration have any limits?  

    • limitations on the doctrine of mutual corroboration and the use of a single source of evidence in a multi charge indictment

  • Jonny Campbell - 275 Applications post Daly and Keir v HMA – where are we now?
