The main topics that the session will cover are:

-          The role and duties of an expert (or skilled) witness

The requirements of independence and a duty to the Court as set out in Kennedy v Cordia.

-          Would the regulation of expert witnesses help practitioners and / or the Court? Or would it simply add to the bureaucracy for all concerned?

-          Learn from an experienced expert witness, what makes a good instruction to an expert witness (and what doesn’t)
