About the event

About the Seminar:

Given the pervasive nature of immigration law, it often appears as a central concern in other practice areas. Family law is one such area where the likelihood of encountering immigration related matters is particularly high. This seminar will focus on the intersection between immigration and family law at key stages of a family relationship, such as marriage, adoption, and family breakdowns.

About the Speaker - Ashley Fleming - Harper Macleod:

Ashley Fleming is a partner at Harper Macleod LLP specialising in immigration, asylum and nationality law and has extensive experience advising businesses and individuals on all aspects of UK immigration law having worked in this area since 2005. She is dual qualified in Scotland and England & Wales. She regularly assists clients with their family-based applications, EU Settlement Scheme applications and applications for naturalisation. She is often instructed to provide expert reports for the courts in care proceedings and acts for local authorities, providing advice and training in relation to children and young persons in care.
