About The Event
About the Speaker:
Gill Black is a Chartered Knowledge Manager and Law Society of Scotland Accredited Legal Technologist with over 25 years of experience in legal knowledge management, law librarianship, and legal technology. As Senior Manager of Knowledge Services & Systems at Brodies LLP, she leads strategic initiatives to enhance legal research and information access, with a current focus on generative AI. Gill is an experienced trainer and active contributor to professional development in the legal information community.
About the Seminar:
Gill will present a session on legal research strategies and resources. The seminar will discuss how to approach a legal research query and cover physical resources, free and subscription based electronic resources and generative AI. The session would suit new entrants into the profession, provide a refresher to more experienced practitioners, while also providing an update on the fast-changing field of AI in legal research.
