About the event

The Royal Faculty of Procurators, with its rich heritage and commitment to legal education, proudly presents the Sheriff Principal's Mooting Competition, which is poised to return this April and May following the resounding success of last year's inaugural edition.

In the first semi-final teams from Glasgow College and the University of Strathclyde will compete in a moot presided over by a distinguised Sheriff. The teams will be made up of two 1st or 2nd year law students from each institution.

The two teams that win through to the final will compete in a moot on 8th May 2024, also at 5:30 pm, presided over by Sheriff Principal Anwar.

Attendance is free and all practitioners and law students (whether participating or not) are are very welcome to attend all of these events. Each session will be followed by a convivial drinks reception, fostering opportunities for networking, camaraderie, and the exchange of ideas - an essential aspect of legal education and professional growth.
