About the event

The three commercial Sheriffs at Glasgow (Sheriff S. Reid, Sheriff B. Cameron & Sheriff D. Taylor) extend a warm invitation to all litigation practitioners to attend a “Town Hall” style meeting at the RFPG on Thursday 5 September 2024 at 5.30pm to discuss the workings of the commercial court in Glasgow.

Specifically:

- What works?

- What doesn’t work?

- What might be done better?

The meeting will take the form of an “open forum” discussion.

All thoughts, observations, questions, and ideas from practitioners are welcomed.

The Sheriffs want to collate all feedback (anonymous or otherwise) for the Sheriff Principal with a view to ensuring that the business community is well served by Glasgow’s commercial court.

To promote discussion, we strongly encourage all practitioners to email to the RFPG, in advance, all observations, comments, criticisms, questions, and ideas.

Send your comments to: library@rfpg.org no later than 48 hours prior to the Meeting.

All emails will be anonymised by the RFPG and passed on to the sheriffs for consideration.

We look forward to a vibrant and stimulating discussion!
