About The Event

The Royal Faculty of Procurators, with its rich heritage and commitment to legal education, proudly presents the Sheriff Principal's Mooting Competition, which is poised to return this April and May following the resounding success of recent years' competition.


In the second semi-final, teams from the University of Strathclyde and the City of Glasgow College will compete in a moot presided over by a distinguished Sheriff. The teams will be made up of two 1st or 2nd year law students from each institution.


The two teams that win through to the final will compete in a moot on 27th May 2026, also at 5:30 pm, presided over by Sheriff Principal Anwar.


Attendance is free and all practitioners and law students (whether participating or not) are very welcome to attend all of these events. Each session will be followed by a convivial drinks reception, fostering opportunities for networking, camaraderie, and the exchange…
