About The Event

The Right Honourable Lady Carmichael was appointed as a senator of the College of Justice in 2016 and elevated to the Inner House in February 2025.  She is a member of the Scottish Civil justice Council and chairs the Access to Justice Committee of the Council.  The Committee has a wide ranging remit including the review of procedures relating to party litigants, lay representatives, group proceedings, mediation, modes of attendance and other topics of significance for civil practitioners.
