About the event

About the Conference:

Maeve Wynne-McCorry (Morton Fraser): Personal Injury Trusts - how can they help our clients?

Personal Injury Trusts can be a valuable solution for clients who are due to receive compensation as a result of a personal injury, and may be concerned about how the compensation can affect their entitlement to means-tested benefits, how they would fund long-term care, or how they would deal with the funds if they are vulnerable. This seminar will cover what a Personal Injury Trust is and an overview of how they are set up, before exploring some common client questions, with the aim of widening awareness of Personal Injury Trusts as an option to your clients.

Beth Evans & Peter Murrin (Turcan Connell): Trusts Q&A and FAQ

Pete and Beth will discuss some frequently asked questions relating to trusts practice and invite submission of questions (whether anonymously or otherwise!) ahead of the session to allow delegates to get the most out of the session. Please send all questions to library@rfpg.org.

Question can be read anonymously.

Sandy Lamb (Lindsays): A Seminar on the new Trusts (Scotland) Bill

Hugh Boyle (Johnston Carmichael): Taxation
