About the Conference:
AWI reform has been proceeding for some years, but has now rapidly accelerated, with consequences for practice now, and with which all AWI practitioners need to keep abreast to maintain necessary standards of service to their clients. This seminar will aim to update practitioners as at the date of the seminar, as to the shape which proposed reforms are taking and the consequences applicable now for practice. These needs will be illustrated with some recent reported cases which have failed to keep up with necessary advances in practice, including cases where English courts have refused to recognise recent but outdated Scottish guardianship orders.
