About the seminar:

Specialists from Wbg will provide an overview of personal and corporate insolvency in Scotland. They will cover the different types of personal and corporate insolvency processes and what happens when a deceased person’s estate is insolvent. They will also look at recent cases and legislative developments and provide considerations for solicitors advising clients who are, or may be verging upon, insolvency and some of the practical challenges which can arise.

 

About the speakers:

Paul McDougall is an associate partner at Wbg. He is a licensed Insolvency Practitioner and manages the Consumer Debt Services team, which provides confidential advice to individuals experiencing financial difficulties. Paul also has experience in personal insolvency, including deceased estates, and is well-equipped to advise individuals on the best options available to suit their circumstances.

 

Craig Allison is an associate director at Wbg. Working within the Corporate Insolvency team, he offers advice to directors and businesses experiencing cash flow issues and pressure from creditors. Craig also works closely with shareholders and directors of profitable, solvent companies who are seeking to utilise the tax efficient process of a members voluntary liquidation.
