Ray Matheson (Registers of Scotland) After finishing university studying Business with Marketing at Glasgow Caledonian University, Ray Matheson has worked with Registers of Scotland (RoS) for over 6 years. Within that time Ray has worked in key areas within RoS and most recently Business Development. Ray’s key task within RoS is to engage with our customers and inform them of key digital services including Register Land and Property (RLP) and ScotLIS.
Sarah Allanson (Registers of Scotland) Sarah is an accomplished Customer Relationship Manager with wide-ranging experience in business development and stakeholder management across the public, private and voluntary sectors where one of her career highlights was the tourism launch of the Borders Railway. Sarah has been with RoS for over 5 years and is enthusiastic, proactive and always committed to finding the very best outcome for her customers. As part of the Customer Experience Team, she has most recently contributed to the wider RoS focus by proving stakeholder and customer service key aspects to the RCI project.
Jennifer Grosvenor (Harper Macleod LLP) Jennifer is a senior solicitor in HM’s dispute resolution team and specialises in property litigation matters.
Martin Waite (Shepherd Chartered Surveyors) Martin oversees the operation of the firm's Glasgow South office, based in Shawlands. He also has wider responsibilities for the west of Scotland, including Business Development and Marketing as well as responsibility for a number of key relationships on behalf of the firm.
Frances Rooney (Lexares LLP) Frances Rooney is the founding member of Lexares LLP. Frances is well known as one of Scotland’s leading experts on land registration, and for many years has worked closely with Registers of Scotland (RoS), the Law Society of Scotland (LSS), academics and other key stakeholders in shaping law and practice following the overhaul of land and property law under the Land Registration etc (Scotland) Act 2012. A prolific author and speaker on all matters relating to property law and conveyancing, Frances has authored the second reissue of the Conveyancing title of the Stair Memorial Encyclopaedia. She is also a member of the Property Law Committee of the Law Society of Scotland, and also sits on various other committees and working parties including RoS’ public stakeholder group, land registration mapping working party, and digital services registration group; LSS’s common property project; and an LSS/PSG working party creating standardised residential styles for the profession. In recent years Frances has been highly commended under the Rising Star of the Year category at the Legal Awards, and mentioned in Legal 500 as a recommended lawyer, with comments in that publication noting that she is “tenacious” and “always goes the extra mile for her clients”
