This talk will emphasise that prevention is better than cure and will look at issues which can arise pre-missives, in course of missives, in course of transactions, in relation to lenders etc and will offer practical solutions and risk-managing approaches.

Donald Reid, is Chairman of Mitchells Roberton. He qualified as a solicitor in 1975. He has practised extensively, though not exclusively, in the field of conveyancing and property law, both residential and commercial. He tutored and lectured for 20 years at the University of Glasgow. He is frequently called upon to give opinions on the conveyancing aspects of disputes and litigations and to give expert evidence. He serves on the Property Law Committee of the Law Society of Scotland.
