The talk will review some of the prescription issues which have arisen in recent case law. It will also look at some of the legislative provisions which will be amended next year when the Prescription (Scotland) Act 2018 comes fully into force.
 
About the Speaker, David Johnston KC (Axiom Advocates):
David Johnston has practised at the Scottish Bar since 1992 (with an interlude from 1993-99 when he was Regius Professor of Civil Law in the University of Cambridge). He became a QC in 2005 and was a part-time Commissioner of the Scottish Law Commission from 2015-2020.
