This seminar will explore the basic tax provisions of the most common interactions between solicitors and tax advisers, including -
   1. What to look out for when starting a business/company
   2. What to look out for when exiting business/company
   3. Marriage and divorce
   4. Succession

These topics are useful because often it is the tax adviser who is first point of call because the client is interested in tax implications and reliefs available to them. However, once they know what the tax issues are that there are usually wider legal implications of progression which can lead to a broad scope of extended work for solicitors. Base knowledge and knowing when to obtain expert advice will be beneficial.
