The Creative Side of the Law: An Arts Showcase with a Purpose
Scotland’s legal profession is stepping away from the courtroom and into the creative spotlight - and they’re bringing their talents with them.
On 30 April 2026, the Royal Faculty of Procurators in Glasgow will open its doors for Creativity in the Law, a special charity evening celebrating the artistic talents of lawyers from across Scotland. The event will feature a visual art exhibition, live music performances and a vibrant social gathering, all set within the historic Royal Faculty building.
But Creativity in the Law is more than an exhibition - it’s a call to create.
Solicitors, advocates, trainees and legal professionals are now invited to take part as contributors, showcasing work in painting, photography, sculpture, poetry, music or any other creative medium. If you practise law by day and pursue creativity in your own time, this is your opportunity to share your work, perform live and be part of a unique professional showcase.
Following the success of the inaugural event in 2024 and an even bigger turnout in 2025, Creativity in the Law 2026 promises to be the most ambitious event yet, highlighting the depth of creative talent within the legal profession while raising vital funds for the Scottish Refugee Council.
The event is free to attend, with donations welcomed on the night. A drinks reception from 5.30pm will be held for exhibition attendees, making it an ideal evening to meet colleagues, discover new talent and support a great cause.
The event is open to both members and non-members.
Artists. Musicians. Poets. Creatives.
If you’re part of the legal profession and would like to contribute your work or perform, now is the time to get involved.
