The RFPG played host to another fantastic evening of Mooting on Wednesday night, as students from the University of Strathclyde and the City of Glasgow College faced off in the second semi-final of the Sheriff Principal's Mooting Competition.

Many thanks to Sheriff Brian Mohan for kindly agreeing to judge the competition, and to both teams for their outstanding advocacy:

For University of Strathclyde were Alec Hudson & Elena Fox and for the City of Glasgow College were Sheldon Mills & Sophie Oag.

Congratulations to the City of Glasgow College for securing their place in the final which will be held on 27 May.

The legal submissions of each competing team this year have been superb and inspiring - showcasing the talent of Scotland's future legal professionals.

Next up we have the final, on the 27th May where we will see City of Glasgow College v the University of Glasgow go head to head for the title of the Sheriff Principal's Mooting Competition 2026! 🏆

Once again, all are welcome and there will be a drinks reception after.

Attendance is free, and all practitioners and law students (whether participating or not) are very welcome to attend. A drinks reception will follow the event.
