The future of the profession shines bright: a recap of the Royal Faculty's mooting competition 2nd semi-final

Echoing last week's first semi-final, another captivating legal debate took place in the RFPG on Wednesday evening, with teams from the University of Strathclyde (Murron McManus and Freya Seddon) and Glasgow Caledonian University (Fraser King and Blair White) proficiently arguing their cases under the expert watch of Sheriff Mohan.

Again, both teams were commended for their exhaustive preparation and reasoned arguments, but ultimately the team from the University of Strathclyde won the close-run competition, and will go on to face the University of Glasgow in the final on May 21st.

The Royal Faculty would like to thank all the students who participated for their hard work and Sheriff Mohan for judging the competition.

We look forward to an exciting final on the 21st of May where Sheriff Principal Anwar will preside over the two finalists in what promises to be the most closely fought debate yet. All are welcome to come and watch these bright minds duke it out, followed by a drinks reception and a chance to network and discuss the evening's events.
